As members of the CU community, we believe that research funding is critical for prosperity, that higher education should be accessible for all Illinoisans, that federal agencies should be staffed with talented graduates, and that diversity is a strength. That's why we're coming together to be a force for positive change and science activism.
Past Actions
Below are the past actions that we have organized and been a part of:
On March 7, 2025 hundreds of students, faculty, and community members marched in the CU Stand up for Science march.
We love this post from a community member about the event!
On February 19 we participated in Labor For Higher Ed's Fund Don't Freeze day of action by meeting up to discuss how our departments have been affected and how we can respond.
On January 31 the administration began retracting CDC papers and flagging NSF grants with certain words. On February 18, we chalked all of them across the quad.
